Tutorial Tuesday - Button Bracelets & Brooch

OK, so Mr Mojo and I have made up - we had a bit of therapy which consisted of lots of cake and copious amounts of tea!

Anyway, enough about my waistline, how are you all? Hope good!

I have a super-duper, easy-peasy Tute for you all today, HERE is the inspiration. I'm sure you could do it without my help, but here it is anyways ;)

Button Bracelets and Brooch(not shown in this pic)...

You will need for the Bracelets:

Buttons with 4 holes
Garden Twine or Bakers Twine
Scissors

Step 1:

Cut 2 long lengths of twine. Take one piece and thread one end through a button hole...

...using the same piece of twine take the other end and thread through the next button hole...

...Pull both ends through, until you have a small loop at the back of the button...

Step 2:

Flip both ends backwards, over the button and through the loop...

...pull tight...

Step 3:

Do the same with the other length of twine in the other 2 button holes...

Step 4:

Tie onto your wrist (cut off any excess, but leave a bit so you can take off and re-tie back on when you want)...

...and make some more...

Button Brooch

You will need:

Decorative button with shank
Safety Pin

Step 1:

Flip button over, open safety pin and push open end through shank...

Step 2:

Pin onto your fave scarf...

Job done :)

Voilà, easy-peasy crafting for a rainy day or just because!

Take care and I'll be back soon!

xx

  1. Heres one to add...here in Canada where everything costs zillons of dollars..I came across button bracelets in a vintage shop...using elastic (thread like) and measuring your wrist...with thread like elastic, threading lots of colourful buttons..well you will gasp...they were 15$ in a vintage shop no less......tracking down thread like elastic now that will take a minute..you know the elastic that is on the paddle bags...rambling...
Good idea...i am going to make a cake...♥Debi
