Afternoon lovelies, how are you all? We have had a lovely bit of sunshine today, bitterly cold but bright skies none-the-less! I always feel more crafty when the sun is shining :)
Those of you that follow my other blog may have seen the Embossed Rustic Heart I created with embossing powder and a swirly stamp...
...I really love being able to take something pretty and put my own 'stamp' on it Haha!
I didn't realise you could emboss this way onto wood / glass so thought I would have a go and why yes, you can! Now the world is my embossing oyster!
...I embossed onto a glass jar which will make a lovely vase for some flowers - really need to pick up some daffs in time for St Davids Day. I also embossed my favourite peacock stamp onto the corner of a glass frame, I then popped some ornate looking paper behind it. Really love it! My kitchen shelf is looking very rusticy at the mo!
Anyhoo, as you all know I post a lot of tutorials, so I thought I would add in a few 'techniques', which I will post on a Thursday - yep you guessed it - 'Technique Thursday.' I do love me some catchy names :)
It won't be a regular thing, just as and when I can fit it in. I hope you will pop back this Thursday as I show you how to emboss using heat activated powder.
Take care and enjoy the sunshine if you are lucky enough to have some today!
Hugs,
xx
I'm the same way...sunshine is a great motivator! I never would have thought about embossing onto glass...genius! Looking forward to your tutorials.
ReplyDeleteOh the heart looks really pretty. I'm looking forward to Thursday's more new lovely things to learn. I hope you don't mind I've nominated you for the super sweet blogger award, liking chocolate an important part of the task. I've just posted if you want to have a peak at the award. Hope you have a lovely week.
