G'Day all! Hope you are well! One of the great things about blogland is the people you 'meet', and through my travels I discovered a fab lady - a creative mama who documents her diary of diy delights and disasters over at Mellywood's Mansion. If you are not familiar, then you should definitely head on over. Her sense of humour and crafty talents will make you feel very much at home! I feel lucky to count her as one of my blog friends. We decided to do a little swap amongst ourselves consisting of craft supplies, crafty makes and something from where we live. I must say, I was very impressed with international postage - in a blink of an eye a parcel was soon delivered and inside...
I have coveted one of Mel's gorgeous handmade scarf's for ages, so I was soooo pleased to receive one and a pink one at that :)
complete with a gorgeous locket!
Mel included some yummy strawberry liquorice, an Aussie magnet and lanyard.
...and then a awesome pink drinks cup personalised with my name on! LOVE it! But that's not all...inside the cup was...
oodles of prettiness, comprising of...
The most blingiest, prettiest handmade jewellery, adore!
Bottle tops, cord, keyrings and clear epoxy stickers and...
Enormous Washers, I am not kidding just look at the size of these bad boys...
...Can't wait to do some metal stamping on these :) I purchased some shrinky dink plastic ready to make some little handprint and footprint keyrings which will perfectly combine with these supplies!
Thanks again Mel, you were super-duper generous hun!
Here is a little peek of what I sent to Mel, you can read her post about the swap HERE.
A 'Create' definition frame, a pin cushion jar filled with little bits and bobs...
An embroidery hoop map of Australia done in black felt on spotty fabric, with a 'Home Sweet Home' sticker.
I also made a Mellywood sign, but I didn't take a pic!
I created them all in black and red as Mel has a new craft room, (which I am well jel of!), that she has been decorating. I hope these will fit in nicely!
Some craft supplies, including a blank canvas bag ready for decorating, some funny quote stickers and non-traditional xmas papers, hopefully a bit more suited to Australia's less snowy Christmas time.
I also popped in some local postcards, a mini Welsh Lovespoon, and red Dragon ornament.
Lastly there was of course some Cadbury's choc - yum :)
Thanks again Mel for swapping with me, you are a treasured friend!
